Deine Stadt – Deine digitale Idee – Dein Impact. Digitalization is changing our city, but who shapes it? At the two-day Ideathon you develop digital solutions for the real challenges of Essen together with other citizens.

Mobility, health, climate protection, administration, social participation, digitalization and artificial intelligence offer incredible opportunities to make life in Essen better, easier and more sustainable. But who decides how these technologies are used? It could be you!

What awaits you: Saturday | Inspiration & Networking = Development & Pitch. The first part is about getting to know each other and inspiration. You exchange initial ideas, form interdisciplinary project groups and let yourself be inspired by keynote talks from technology, urban development and innovation. Together with your team, you lay the first foundations of your digital project idea on the same day. In the second part, your idea becomes a concrete digital concept. Mentors from IT, design, communication and project development accompany you. At the end of the day you present your project to a jury, and the best ideas are then further accompanied!

Possible topics: Environment & climate adaptation; Mobility & smart traffic solutions; Health & digital care; Citizen information & transparent administration; Social participation & digital inclusion; AI solutions for everyday life in Essen.

Who is it for? For everyone who wants to actively help shape their city, whether you can program or not! Digital solutions emerge from the interplay of technology, creativity, communication and everyday experience. All perspectives are welcome!

What to bring: Your ideas, your energy and the willingness to make a difference. A laptop or tablet is welcome but not required — the team shares! Free participation | Catering included | Registration required.
