Your city – your digital idea – your impact. Digitalisation is changing our city, but who shapes it? At this ideathon you develop digital solutions for Essen's real challenges together with other citizens.

Mobility, health, climate protection, administration, social participation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence offer incredible opportunities to make life in Essen better, easier and more sustainable. But who decides how these technologies are used? You can!

What awaits you: Saturday | Inspiration & Networking = Development & Pitch The first part is about getting to know each other and being inspired. You exchange initial ideas, form interdisciplinary project groups and get inspired by keynote talks from technology, urban development and innovation. Together with your team, you set out the first structures of your digital project idea the same day. In the second part, your idea becomes a concrete digital concept. Mentors from IT, design, communication and project development support you. At the end of the day, you present your project before a jury; the best ideas will then be further supported!

Who is it for? For everyone who wants to actively shape their city, whether you can program or not! Digital solutions arise from the interplay of technology, creativity, communication and everyday experience. All perspectives are welcome!

What to bring: Your ideas, your energy and the willingness to make a difference. Laptop or tablet welcome, but not a must – teams share!
